A knifeman terrorised Petra Ecclestone’s fiance as he pushed his child daughter’s pram in a busy park yesterday.
Sam Palmer instructed how he was confronted by the person close to London’s King’s Street who pulled out a ten-inch blade.
Mr Palmer, 38, mentioned his first thought was that it could be a terrorist assault, because the stranger got here at him with the weapon outstretched.
The drama occurred as he pushed 18-month-old daughter Minnie in a pram in St Luke’s Gardens, Chelsea, which was filled with moms and buyers.
The person had earlier brought on panic on the King’s Street as he walked down the well-known avenue brandishing the weapon.

Mr Palmer mentioned: ‘I used to be out for a stroll with the newborn and as we entered St Luke’s Gardens, this man walked as much as us. He pulled his brown sheepskin coat apart and pulled out a knife.
‘It was like a horror film, he held the tip together with his finger whereas he twirled the blade deal with as he got here in direction of us. It was actually menacing. My first thought was it is perhaps a terrorist assault, he was so calm as he stored coming in direction of us.
‘My solely fear was for the newborn at that time, it’s all you care about. I used to be pondering I want I had a watch on to provide him, but it surely wasn’t a theft.
‘I used to be attempting desperately to get the newborn out of the pram as he got here nearer.
‘Our safety was with us and he stepped in the way in which as he got here in direction of us. I picked up the pram and I simply received out of there. We stopped to inform others that he had a knife.’
Police arrived seconds later. The knifeman heard the sirens and was arrested a short while afterwards. It then emerged that he had been wandering down the King’s Street clutching the big blade, inflicting buyers to scatter in panic.
The daddy-of-one mentioned his fiancee Petra, 32, was terrified when he walked residence minutes later in an agitated state.
The millionaire heiress, who’s the daughter of former Components One boss Bernie Ecclestone, was not with him on the time of the incident.
‘The entire thing was actually scary. I’m simply glad she and the opposite children weren’t there. There have been a lot of mums with children within the park and thank God he focused me, not them.
‘I used to be actually shaken. He was inside hanging distance.’
Police later arrested a person on suspicion of possession of a prohibited offensive weapon.
Yesterday a spokesman for Scotland Yard mentioned: ‘Police have been referred to as at 10.01am to experiences of a person with a knife on King’s Street, Chelsea.’
He mentioned a person had been taken into custody at a west London police station. There have been no experiences of any accidents.
