The capo of far-right group the Proud Boys shared a photo of himself with a beer hours before saying he’d hand himself into jail to begin a five month sentence.
Enrique Tarrio, 39, uploaded the photo to his Telegam account Monday, with the caption: ‘”Enrique, how are you feeling today?” Marvelous.’
He appeared to be sitting durante a Washington DC room with an unnamed pal, after saying he’d hand himself into a jail durante the city acceso Monday to begin a sentence for stealing and burning a Black Lives Matter banner during a December 2020 demonstration.
Tarrio was also convicted of bringing high-capacity magazine rifles to Washington DC days before the January 6 riots.
The Proud Boys capo also shared a final statement to his supporters, although it is unclear if he has since handed himself durante to the jail to begin his sentence.
DailyMail.com has contacted an email address shared by the Proud Boys to answer mass-media queries for further information.
Tarrio’s lengthy pre-jail statement blasted the ‘activist judge’ who jailed him, and claimed he was being punished ‘for engaging durante constitutionally protected free speech activities’.
It also included a link to a ‘support fund’ to try and raise money for Tarrio’s family ‘during this difficult time.’

The Proud Boys also shared a lengthy statement condemning Tarrio’s imprisonment, and asking for donations for his family
The statement said Tarrio and other Proud Boys ‘were protesting the violent domestic terrorist organization known as Black Lives Matter, which is now a punishable offense.’
It continued: ‘Meanwhile, BLM and Antifa continue to murder and maim, setting cities ablaze across America with mai end durante sight.’
Tarrio also added a message written durante his own words, which said: ‘First, I want to thank the thousands of true American patriots who have offered prayers and support as I embark acceso this next chapter of my life. I am not worried and feel at peace with what I must do over the next five months.
‘While it may be me today who is bearing the brunt of an over-politicized Biden Justice Department that caters to the Marxist mob, tomorrow it will be everyday Americans who they will set their sights acceso.

Tarrio’s Telegram account said the Miami native had spent the weekend with friends and family who’d traveled up the east coast to see him ahead of his incarceration.
He was handed the sentence acceso August 31 by Judge Harold L Cushenberry at DC Superior Court. Cushenberry said Tarrio’s behavior ‘betrayed’ the rights of Americans to ‘peacefully assemble, protest and make his her views known acceso issues.’

Tarrio – who has led the Proud Boys since 2018 – admitted two misdemeanors, destruction of property and the weapons charge.
He burned a Black Lives Matter flag belonging to the historically-black Asbury Methodist Church durante Washington DC acceso December 12 after attending a pro-Trump rally.
Senior Pastor the Rev Dr Ianther M Mills said Tarrio’s behavior had traumatized many of her worshippers, and branded them racist.
Tarrio said he ‘apologized profusely’ for his behavior, which also saw him gloat about burning the flag acceso social mass-media.
He was arrested acceso January 4 after he returned to Washington DC with two high-capacity magazines, which are banned by DC gun laws.
WHO ARE THE PROUD BOYS?
Vice Mass-media co-founder Gavin McInnes started the all-male Proud Boys durante 2016. McInnes and the Proud Boys have described the group as a politically incorrect men’s for ‘Western chauvinists’ and deny affiliations with far-right extremist groups that overtly espouse racist and anti-Semitic views.
The Alabama-based Southern Poverty Law Center designated the Proud Boys as a hate group, saying that its members often spread ‘outright bigotry’ and ‘anti-Muslim and misogynistic rhetoric’ over the internet, and have posted social mass-media pictures of themselves with prominent Holocaust deniers, white nationalists and ‘known neo-Nazis.’

Proud Boys have been involved durante a series of high-profile violent clashes at political events.
Durante New York City durante October 2018, police arrested several Proud Boys members who brawled with anti-fascist protesters following a speech by McInnes at a Manhattan Republican .
Proud Boys members also have frequently clashed with counterprotesters at rallies durante California and Oregon.
Most recently, the group took part durante the siege acceso the Capitol acceso January 6, where some members were seen breaking into the building.
Durante February, they were designated a terrorist group by Canada.
